Kawaii Akuma By Madarame Hiro

Kawaii Akuma

By Madarame Hiro

I stumbled on this series last year. I was visiting a friend and we happened to go in to Barnes and Nobles. We looked around, I found nothing that interested me enough to spend the last of my visiting money on. But then I went in to the manga section and scored the titles and company logo's to see if I could find any yaoi that looked good. That is where I saw it nestled in between two other manga that I can not recall there tittles.

It was wrapped in plastic so I didn't know what I was getting but I knew it was going to be good, all the good books are wrapped in plastic. I flipped it over and read the back, and read the synopsis. The art work was compelling, and the synopsis promised to be a good read, I knew I had to have it. One quick call to my bank to check my funds, I had enough hehee. And merely my dear friend and I skipped to the cashier and paid for or new little read.

And then... we decided we were hungry. We went to the The Jasmine which indecently was next door. The food was great and I couldn't wait. So after I was done eating I opened up the book reverently, my excitement couldn't be contained. With my trusty friend beside me and her brother across from me.

I started to read. I smiled, I laughed, I giggled till my friend looked over my shoulder and we both twittered. He brother gave use odd looks and rolled his eyes and was like really your going to read that in public? We chortled, oh yes! We kept reading, now at this point were half way through before her brother finally realizes what exactly we are reading. What he thought was a “ normal” Romance, turned out to be about two guys. Needless to say he was quite shocked.

Kawaii Akuma

Synopsis taken from bakaupdate

Akiyoshi Tooru is the perfect student with glasses. Unfortunately, he’s always been told that he was ‘cute’ and ‘pretty’ which forced him to develop an inferiority complex as a young man. The very same Akiyoshi received a confession from a boy of rare beauty, Naruse Fuuta. Of course, Akiyoshi rejected the confession from another man. However, Naruse lost it, underwent a complete change of attitude, and attacked him! Now knowing the fearsome nature of Naruse, what fate awaits the fleeing Akiyoshi?!

Is this series licensed? Yes, it is licensed By Blu.

Any warnings I should know about: none really buy some noncon. Sex scenes are not graphic.

Over all thoughts: I enjoyed this book and I wouldn't mind rereading it again and again. And I do. Id keep a look out for this author/artist for anything new that she publishes.

I would recommend it for yaoi fan with a little more experience. The beginning does deal with noncon, So if you do not like that do not read this manga. It is cute and funny, you will smile and laugh out load at Akiyoshi's plight. The art work is enjoyable, and I look forward to reading more by this artist/author.
